I love the old church cookbooks, you can find them in thrift stores, and yard sales and used book stores for very nice prices . . . and the one noodle recipe I keep coming back too is:
l cup of flour for each egg, I usually do three each.
3 tbsp. rich milk for each egg/flour (so 9 tbsp. for this batch)
salt to taste
Mix together, might have to add a little flour to make a stiffer dough, or if you like the feel of the soft dough, just roll it using more flour to keep it from sticking . . . let dry for awhile, cut into strips and drop into boiling broth. . . .cook until tender . . .wonderful recipe, and they do taste so good!!
