Longtime reader, 1st time poster so don't be too hard on this newbie. Our guineas are laying a ton of eggs. I am allergic to duck eggs but not chicken. I was wondering if guinea eggs are similar to duck or are they similar to chicken eggs. I really don't want to eat one and find out. I get horribly sick within a half hour of eating a duck egg. Thanks for your time!!

To me, guinea eggs appear to be more like chicken eggs than duck eggs. As far as allergies go, some people who have an allergic reaction to chicken eggs can eat guinea eggs. Two guinea eggs are roughly equivalent in size to one chicken egg.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do. Sorry about your allergies.
