Warning: this may sound dumb. My husband found this tiny egg from one of our Easter Egger hens. They are all older. Our silkie roo is constantly mounting one hen in particular. If he was successful, would it be possible that it would cause the tiny egg size?

Agree, likely a fairy egg. Not uncommon for older hens to have some glitches in their system once in awhile.

The rooster has no influence on the size of the egg the hen lays, though if you were to have a successful fertile egg hatch the chicks would likely grow to be somewhere in between the size of the parents. Most of my Silkie crosses are slightly bigger than a Silkie. Though they can be anywhere from Silkie sized to the size of their standard sized parent.
No such thing as a dumb question on BYC, we are all here to learn.😊
