Just what are the laws on selling eggs and/or chickens in michigan? Do you have to have a 'processing room' to sell your eggs at the frm market? How about to a reseller like a small corner store? I've heard you have to have a room to sell processed chickens but how do you know what the requirements are?
We occasionally have more eggs than we need so would like to find a place to sell them.

I haven't heard of any. We do our sales privately and deliver. One customer is a friend of DH's so when they have coffee at the local diner, DH brings eggs. Our other customer is the family that owns the boarding stable I keep my horse at and I bring them 2 doz. every week. When we first got our customers, we warned them about making sure stuff is cooked properly, don't hard boil them right away because they'll be hard to peel, you may find an occasional blood or meat spot and we haven't had any complaints
