My hen keeps breaking in to egg song once in for the past two months, but she hasn't started laying yet. She just pasted the 6 month mark I haven't switched her over to lay feed because she is still growing her adult feathers in and I know she obviously needs the protein to help her feather growth. But has anyone had this happen with their hens? My poor mom keeps thinking she is in distress when all she is doing is signing. I'll go check on her and she'll keep on signing and isn't in distress at all, if anything she is proud we're bothering to check on her when she sings.
