    Hi,
I was wondering if I can make my own egg wash? If so what do you use in your egg wash?

You can buy commercial egg wash if you want it. Most hatcheries carry it and places like eggboxes.com and eggcartons.com. Considering how long a bucket of it would last it's pretty cheap.

I use plain old dish detergent myself (Ajax lemon if you really want to know) and hot running water. Works well. I don't ordinarily sanitize my eggs unless I'm going to be hatching them. In that case two tablespoons of plain laundry bleach in a gallon of warm water gets the job done. After the eggs are washed they go into a basket and submerged in the sanitizing solution for one minute then drained.
