My wife does not like the look of the whites on our eggs lately. When cracking them to put in a bowl or pan, The yolks look fine, but the white around the yolk is thick and whiteish cloudy, then another thinner runny layer of clear white. These are the hens I think have newcastle disease, and the eggs are supposed to be fine to eat. what do you think?

Loose whites can be caused by heat stress.

Cloudy whites is an indication of freshness. Fresh egg white are cloudy because the carbon dioxide has not had time to sit and escape through gas exchange from the air.

Cloudy whites is the BEST/FRESHEST egg.
