Egg with two shells of different colors

    My guess is a white egg was broke in the nest and the brown got pushed into the remnants of that egg. I've seen it a time or two in pictures.

    How strange, I've never seen that before. What @oldhenlikesdogs says seems like the most likely scenario.

    I'm not discrediting what @oldhenlikesdogs has said. That does seem logical. It's just really strange how it is perfectly attached in the right direction as if it came out that way.

    So you actually cracked and peeled the outer eggshell to get to the way it looks in the photo?

    If naturally occurring I'd expect the white egg to be on the inside and the brown outside. Hmm...

    No, it was already partially peeled. I pulled it out looking like it does in the photo.
