So my 23 week pullets are basking in the sun as I walk up the stairs to the coop...they see me and rather than their typical happiness and excitement over my bringing them treats...they just look at me like, "heh woman whats up?":
I walk around and come back over to feed my 7 weekers and still...:
then they are all rolling around cleaning one another dusting themselves in hay and pineshavings, thumping around on the floor in the sunlight...still could care less about me:
I mean sheesh! Dont bother to get up or anything!?!? LOL!:

so...are we going to get our first egg? And WHEN?!?!?!?!?

    "Hey woman, what's up?" LOL

You should be getting eggs soon enough. When their faces, combs, and wattles turn big and glossy red then they are ready to lay.

I have some BR that were born the end of July of last year and EE's that were born 3 weeks later and still no eggs #$^$%$^
I keep telling the freeloaders that they are gonna end up in the oven if I don't get some eggs soon........lol. Just kidding of course. It looks like they are enjoying the warm sun. Good luck.

The first time I saw my one of my pullets dust bathe and then lounge back in the sun, I thought she was having a seizure. I know, what a dork...
