DH called & said he's on his way. That gives me enough time to go sit with my light in front of the 'bator for at least... 10 more minutes, I'd say.

I've got an interesting one for ya...I have 2 sets of eggs in the hatcher right now...BO's from the January egg swap, and b/b/s bantam Ameraucana eggs...I had 5 chicks when I left for work, I just got home to 11...here's the kicker..One of the chicks looks like a Faverolles cross! It is mostly yellow, has the faintest of chipmunk brown stripes down it's back, 5 toes and feathered legs!!

I could've sworn that you were only supposed to get "mystery chicks" from hatchery orders!! LOL! I wonder what it is!! Oh, and it has a flat comb!!! What the.....?!?

First pip!!!!!!!!!!! It is one of the tannish colored eggs from Paganbird. Noisy little thing,lol.

Sorry, I was gone.
There is a second pip on one of the tan eggs but no babies out yet. That one last night, before she pipped sure was determined!!!
I keep pacing, its a good thing I was gone for a while!!!

I cant quite get the flashlight to look through the part of the window this egg is at, but I think one of the olive ones is pipped too!!!
