Eggs, eggs and more eggs!

Our girls started laying about a month ago and have been going strong since. We've gotten an egg a day from each girl until a few days ago, one of them took a day off I thought until the following day I collected eggs and got one egg that was three times the size of the others. I don't know who layed it but it's a whopper.

Mine do that from time to time. Could be a double yolker. Some people are even posting about tripple yolks.

Nice! Sometimes, for various reasons, hens lay a weird egg. Usually nothing to be concerned about.

Don't try to hatch these weird eggs, however. Invariably, they are not viable.

We do not have a rooster, we got them for eggs and pets.
