I am bringing 26 eggs up to room temperature and will be putting them in the new homemade incubator imminently.
After fooling around extensively (ai-yi-yi!) with thermostat and lightbulbs, I have finally got it stabilized between 98.8-100.5 F, which will hopefully be good enough (DH thinks thermometer 'imagines' a certain amount of the fluctuations) and about 60% r. h. (I've ended up with a 40w bulb on fulltime, plus a 25w bulb wired to the thermometer -- this is in a cool basement)
So, here goes, wish me luck!
