so my eggs finally hatched, but I noticed one of the chicks feet were strange, it has an extra toe
I was a bit worried, is it a deformity or is it genetic? (oh her dad has five toes too
that's why I thought it might be genetic)

Some breeds have 5 toes. The breed “Dorking” has 5 toes, and clean/non-feathered legs. The breed “Salmon Faverolle” have 5 toes, but feathered legs. There are a couple more breeds with 5 toes, as well.

Genetic. I love the five toes. A few of my breeds have that I I think it's so cute! A batch off pulleys could pick up different characteristics from each parent. Color, feather type, number of toes. Its completely normal if you are cross breeding
