eggs hatchings

Hi my duck is nesting and has for the most part of four weeks, but I'm not real sure on exactly how many days she has. From what I've read on the net they hatch around 28 days. my question is how can I tell if they are ok and not a bad batch?

You could try shining a torch through the eggs at night? Look up some images of how the good eggs are supposed to look for ducks

Do you know what kind of ducks you have?? Im asking because muscovy ducks need a much longer incubation time.

My method is that I leave the eggs for a long time, 5 weeks if need be. Because I dont bother a duck hen on her eggs--a disturbed hen may leave the nest. Soooo, I note the date and wait.
