This is the first 2 weeks my 20 week old chickens are laying. They have laid perfect eggs in the nesting box, but more often they lay eggs at night while roosting. It's soft like not finished developing. Any one know why? I give them oyster shell and when laying in the nesting box in the day eggs were perfect.

Welcome to BYC!

Soft shelled (and other egg oddities) are often seen with new layers, while they are working out the kinks in their reproductive systems. It sounds like their ovaries are releasing the yolks too quick at the moment and the second eggs are skipping the calcification process. As long as they are eating well, getting enough calcium and look healthy I wouldn't worry.
