EGGS ON FLOOR

one of my girls semms to be laying eggs either late at night or early dawn. when cleaning there coop i have found eggs at differant times on the ground broke. it seems one of them cant wait to get in the nest, which there are extras, or not enogh time in the moring to get to the nest. why would one of them lay a egg while on ther roost?the roos is about 5 ft of the ground with lots of ways to get up or get down ANY HELP?

A few of mine did that when they first started laying. It seemed as though they were laying in their sleep! However it stopped after a week or so. I noticed too that the shells were just like paper, and some appeared to have no shell at all.
