    How long after a hen hatches chicks does she start laying eggs again

    [​IMG] Well she has to raise the chick which might take anywhere from 6 weeks to 3 months. Im not quite sure how long afterwards will she actually start to lay eggs again [​IMG]

    My experience is 8 weeks. After that she kicks the chicklets out of the nest and will resume laying. [​IMG]

    I agree with miss. When those chicks are about 6-8 weeks old you will notice the hen starting to ignore
    them, then she'll start laying again soon after.
