Hello, today me and my family bought a pair of Egyptian Geese for $100. They are so cute and they sound similar to Muscovy ducks! I know that they are Alpochen and that they make both duck and goose sounds. How much money can you get out of them usually? I'd sell some of their young when they're old enough. Also, are there any other geese that are compatible with them? I was wondering if Canadian, Sebastopol, Barnacle, or Emperor geese could live with them later if they have to. I was also wondering if Egyptian geese could live with a mixed flock of bantam ducks (like Mandarins, Woodies, Teals, Pintails, Mergansers, Redheads, Widgeons, and Shovelers). Just thought i'd like to know. Right now, we are just raising the pair of Egyptians in a breeding aviary.

they will kill anything weaker you have to put them in with something stronger than they are like giant canada but the giant canada here almost killed the egyptians so i dont know how that works out? I am also curious about this.

Someone said they had theirs with muscovy they will kill mallards or anything weak.

I saw one at a zoo kill itself by attacking a marabou stork. I was so mad at the zoo for putting them together Or putting ANYTHING with a marabou stork other than giant vultures.

The joke is that they keep the Egyptians with the rhinos because that's about the only thing they can't/won't kill, although Frank Todd said the Egyptians always lost when placed with hippos.

the marabou stork killed the goose in seconds and it was horrific brutal killing. I still have nightmares about it. Because its not an instant kill.

how can zoos be so horrible in pairing their animals? You would think they would be smart about it? They would know that a marabou stork is a serious predator of flamingos and just about anything. The only birds that can handle them are huge vultures that they hang out with. I have read these storks have killed children at garbage sites.

I also saw at another zoo they put crown cranes in with other birds the cranes were viciously attacking the other birds and even attacked the emus.

I'm sure a swan would kick their ***. Egyptians probably are powerful because of their thick-*** feet, otherwise they appear to be weak. However, looks aren't everything. Right now, my Egyptian geese are just shy. The lady sold them to us, because the other geese were much bigger than them. Th Egyptians sound just like Muscovies.

That is horrible! Storks are huge. I got the Egyptian geese yesterday, and they are shy. They look and sound like Muscovy ducks.
