I watched a video on this. The lady doing the video was speaking as if it is not harmful. She even showed putting it in their coop to kill any problems. I like to do things natural so I'm just looking for suggestions.
I am trying to buy all the products ahead of time to have them on hand if need be.
I am putting apple cider vinegar in there water. I was doing garlic and then I stopped, I think I'm going to resume that and also give them oregano.
Also how often and when do you start giving wormer meds.
I know these babes are chickens and they can get lice and mites.... but that whole aspect freaks me out.

It's fine to keep an insecticide on hand, but none of these products are intended for pre-treating. If you get lucky, you'll never need to use it.

I would not deworm unless you know you have an active infestation and know what you're treating for.

Thank you that sounds great to me. So is it actually possible to have chickens without having lice and mites?

I didn't have a mite issue until this year, so that was close to 4 years of no problem. I think in my case floodwaters carrying debris and junk washed mites from someone else's barn (I literally had barn boards washed up in my yard) or from wild animal nests into the chicken area.

Never had lice. Have never wormed either. I've only ever wormed 1 dog out of all the animals I've had, and he was verified to have tapeworm.
