electric fence fox still getting in

Don't understand it just saw fox take last male duck from inside fence really thought fence was not working and touched the it just to make make sure (was absolutely convinced there was a fault) only to get zapped which made me discover a language i never thought i knew.
I will never be doing that again. begs the question how did the fox get in and out.
can anybody help me understand this and what do i do. i just don't get it

My dogs hope over the fence so i suspect the fox did the same, you could double strand it and see if that stops it.
Sorry for your loss. Can you shoot it, i mean if you see it then at least you got a shot at it if it is legal to do so.

I use dogs as a deterrent and it works very well but i also live on a large parcel of land with no visible neighbors

I live in the UK and would be arrested if I did that lol

its a 3ft fence and i did not see it jump it just slinked in to the fence.
tested the fence all the way round kind of getting used to the shock

OK back to the drawing board
