How long to I give my new chicks electrolytes in their water?

Maybe one day, in small quantities, if they were shipped, but it's not necessary. They don't need anthing but food and water, warmth, and p[lenmty of space so they can refulate their own temperture.

No you didnt do any harm. Its just people have different management styles me I give it to my chicks every day the 6 weeks I have them and theres no harm done

No that is fine.

I never give vits and electrolytes but others on BYC do. I agree with jk47 - everyone manages their flock differently.

I've been giving it to my chicks as they settle into their new home. It doesn't hurt them. Keep some around. When my chick was feeling sick, giving her electrolytes helped her improve.
