My geese - in the mucky snow and ice. White geese look horrible in bad weather. [IMG]

Thank you, Terrie! You remember my egg ordeal? LOL

You can't tell in these photos but they are very shiney in the feathering.

  4. I want a pair of Sebbie geese SOOO bad!
I have had my eyes on them for over a year but when I saw one in person at the Northeastern Poultry Congress I just couldn't leave the cage and stop staring at it!

Are they really loud MP? I didn't hear the one at the show make noise...

Several of my embdens are for sale if anyone in the area is interested. I hatched them and raised them myself. They are what is left from my Christmas goose flock.

My sebbie is the only one who made it. 2 others died in the shell after trying to hatch. [IMG]

They are beautiful!!!! Hmmmmmm, I've been thinking of adding a couple geese to my flock this spring.[IMG][IMG] I was thinking about some toulous geese, of course those silver appleyard ducks in your previous post were very striking as well. I better be careful hanging out on this forum. I can see myself getting out of control with these birds.[IMG]

Females are louder than males. My buff dewlap toulouse and my sebbie are the quietest and most gentle.

The embdens are loud and squawky and the male hisses at you. They also don't care much for my son. My oldest DD won't go in their pen when we lockup and feed at night. The hiss and crane their necks out at her and she gets "skeered of those mean thangs". LOL

I love how my embden, Irma La Goose, honks. She reminds me of Katharine Hepburn in the movie, "The Philadelphia Story" when she laughs. "AHH-hahahaha! AHH-hahahaha"
We call her name "IR-R-R-R-Ma-a-a-ah" and she laughs back. [IMG]
