EMERGENCY Hen sliced open by rooster!

We have a hen that has a wide open gash on her back from the rooster. the cut is almost 2 inches long and right down to the meat!! the cut is clean, but she is clearly in distress, her eggs have been soft for 2 days. We didnt know why till now. Can she be helped? what should we do? Do we have to just cull her? we really dont want to, we love our birds, but we know this may be the only way to go. Thank you all for any input!!!

Flush the wound with 50/50 betadine/water mixture. Then pack it with neosporin. Penicillin G procaine injections may be required if she starts to go down hill.
