I went to close up the bird shed and found my male Emu dead on the floor. I do not know why cause he was running around all day with the female in the rain and mud. The female look fine so far so I don't think it was an illness. I am thinking he ate the shavings and they got caught in his throat. That is all I can think of right now. But I also must push forward cause I still have the female who is now alone. My 2 Emus were hatched out in spring of this year so they are not a year old yet. I am starting this hatching thread for anyone who wants to participate. Here you can post your weight losses each week and we can help each other with this years hatchings.
