EMU HATCH ALONG! :D

Just joined backyard chickens and wanted to share this exciting experience! Hatching six emu eggs this season, put six in my RCOM 20 MAX, 96.2 degrees, still fiddling with humidity as I weigh them, but for now its at 32%. Put them in the bater Dec. 27 and expecting a 55ish day incubation period. Turning 3x a day 180 degrees. Weighing them a few times a week: will post that soon.

I have emu eggs in the incubator too! They went in 11 days ago. I hope I get at least one chick. I've been having problems with loosing too much weight... Hope yours do well! Not having them shipped is a big plus. Here are my weights: I will weigh them again tonight just to see how they are doing.

I would raise the humidity if I were you. If that doesn't work you can tape up some of the pores ( I had to with two of my eggs). But don't be too worried they lose a lot more weight in the early stages of incubation
