Does anyone have any suggestions on how to locate my emu's nest? Do they nest near where they sleep? I have a male and female. when I walk around the area where they sleep the male follows me clapping his beak? They live on about 4 wooded acres..needle in a haystack?[IMG]

Mine will soon have the whole 16 acres.... hehe, but right now they have the fenced 3. Mine like corners. Many times they will build their nest in a corner of the fenceline. When they first start laying it might be curpluncked anywhere, but once they really start it is in one area. Mine like the pine needles and scrub palms too. I am about to wander out and look for some others shortly. [IMG]

Do you think it would be close to where they sleep or just some random place?

It could be or anywhere.... Keep checking right before dark, see where they are spending a lot of time at. You may see the They like to have something at their back, that is why mine like the corners, but every emu can be different.
