Are there any breeds that could be kept in a 6 foot fence enclosure? I know leghorns fly, are most breeds of chickens able to clear 6 feet?

Silkies and other silkied breeds. This type of feathering prevents flight.

Cochins and any frizzle or sizzle won't be flying very high if at all.

My run is I think 7 feet with an open top and my birds have never flown over it. I've had a variety of breeds over the years, Leghorns to Orpingtons and most breeds between, size wise. The run is plenty large and I don't think it's ever occurred to them to try to go over.

That is good to hear, so if I choose some fatty chickens that don't fly super well in the first place they probably won't clear it? Thanks for the info

Something to consider-open top means predators can easily get at your birds.
