Enlarged crop

    One of my two year old hens' crop is very large and of course I'm worried. What's going on? She's lost quite a few feathers but might be molting.

    You should check her crop in the morning...it should be empty..if not...feel to see if it is hard or fluid filled..hard may indicate impacted crop..fluid filled may indicate sour crop...read up on the treatments available for each.
