estimated 4 week old chicks- help with gender!

    Hi All,

    This is my husband & I's first time raising chickens. We purchased 3 leghorn chicks and 3 amber link chicks from TSC a month ago. We are hoping to see if anyone can help us identify the genders! I apologize if the pictures aren't clear. I also wrote on each photo (with hints for myself to remember whose who!) I am not sure if the correct term for chicks is a "beard" but my husband hunts turkeys and that is what he called it. Thanks for any info!

    #6 and #4 look like possible pullets to me. The others appear to be cockerels.
    What you're calling the crown is actually the comb. [​IMG]

    x2 and the what you're calling a beard is actually called wattles, a bearded chicken looks like this :)
