Ever feel lonely when you dont have any PM's waiting for you?

I'm very jealous of the rest of you. I've never had a Prime Minister of any nation waiting for me ( or any private messages for that matter). But I do have cats and fish and chickens and other livestock waiting for me every morning as well as employees, customers, friends and family. Perhaps I should make an appointment with British PM Gordon Brown and be fashionably late, then I could say I had a PM waiting for me.

Chickenchick? Well...How is Raymond??? Hope he had a wonderful time with his dad??? Hope everyone had a great Halloween-Mine was good very hectic of course. My freshman daughter went with her friends and she was done by 8pm! What a good kid-no shaving cream or eggs~ Did more work around house and such getting ready for my trip!!! Hope everyone is having a great day???

The chili made it to town just in time to be eaten! I made 5lb of hamburger with 4 cans of chili plus we had a crock pot full of veggie soup and a heap of sandwiches and other misc. Between about 12 of us, we ate every bit of that chili! I was really surprised it went over that well with me just throwing it together!

Thunder caught a ride with Colton and got there as things were getting started, but he was just so excited about everything going on, he would not settle down. He loved the kids petting him, but didn't like his "family" looking different! He clung to Colton who was without costume! He absolutely hated Daddy in his costume! So, he stayed about 2 hours and Colton took him back. My sister showed up, her dogs went missing Thursday night, so she walked him around and tried to settle him down too (he was hot and she was sad) but she got a call they were found and went home (20 mins away). Over all, I thought he did really good! I have a few pics of him in his cape, but didn't leave it on him long since he was so hot.

So, we had about 125 kids come through, not counting adults! It was a mad house! And everyone loved it. I even talked on the radio for a while towards the end. (I usually only talk once a year on Halloween). We were all wore out by the time it was over!

Our Tupperware open house was a great success yesterday! We had several orders and the salsa was wonderful! I also had some nice visits with Terrie on the phone and she was so much help and a life saver!

Yeah, Colton does shave, but not too often. He gets quite a bit of the "Shaggy" thing going on too. He thinks it is cool for a while, then when I get used to it, he shaves it. He uses an electric razor we got when he was about 10. He used to completely shave his head in the summer and we got it to cut back the hair before I used a blade.

How was everyone else's Halloween weekend?

Good Morning All! Wow...Looks like everyone was really busy this weekend! Michelle, I'm glad to hear your parties went great! Wish I coulda been there. My DH left before I got up Sat and got home just as it was getting dark. He did stop in Waverly and brought me home some apples! Now I have to figure out what I want to do with them. I made an apple crisp out of some last night but have tons more to play with!! NY When do you leave for your trip??? How are your chickens? Are they still wheezing? Chickenchick.. How is Raymond?????? We are all dying to hear!!! Also..do you bow hunt or is your gun season open? Did you get anymore deer? I remember you saying you all eat alot of deer meat. What kinds of cuts do you cook? I grind most of ours up for hamburger except for the backstrap. I need ideas!!

I was home alone on Halloween so I decided to carve a few jackolanterns. I will try to post a picture soon. I text ed a picture of them to Raymond as I was pretty sure he should have been arriving in Florida soon. Sure enough a few minutes later he called me. " A chicken Mom? Really!!??"

Thanks everyone for asking. Raymond made it back safe and sound and TAN!! He had a great time and learned allot of jokes form his older cousins. Some a little questionable, but cute! He didn't talk a whole lot once we got home, he was pretty tired and went to bed early. I am hoping to get some more details tonight.

He brought me back a T-shirt and a suitcase full of dirty laundry! Thats what I am working on today.

The Football Banquet is tonight so I put a salad together for that this morning. I am grateful that I don't have to make the trip to town everyday but he really enjoyed being a part of that. However NOW he needs to get his grades out of the toilet!!

NY it sounds like you have a great daughter. Home by 8! Wow, you done good! When do you leave for your trip?

Charmed
Our gun season opened a week ago yesterday. We did get a buck last night! We only had about 40 minutes before it was too dark by the time we got Raymond home and settled. We saw a doe just down the road a mile or so. Wasted a little time chasing her then decided to check one more trail before heading home and found a herd of 10 or so. DH was a great shot! So he his getting it ready for me to grind. I had been using my kitchen aide but yesterday while in the "city" we picked up a new grinder. It looks like it should work a lot faster. I am excited to try it!

We also grind everything except the back straps. I use deer burger just like beef. We also make jerky. If you need some burger ideas I will sure post some for you. I just made up a batch of meat balls for tomorrow or maybe wednesday (tomorrow is taco Tuesday!). I will make a gravy and serve it over noodles. Yummy!

What a bummer that Michelle and Charmed didn't get to get together this weekend.

chickenchick--Glad Raymond made it home safe, sound and tan! I love the pumpkins! The chicken one is adorable!! Destiny carved one of our pumpkins last night, nothing fancy, she just wanted to get to the seeds so she could roast them! She is going to take this one to the ducks and geese tonight. We still have 5 others to work on and she will give them to the chickens when we are done. And Hubby shot a deer!?

Charmed and I will get together one of these days if I have to go to KC or somewhere to meet her!

NY--Good daughter! Colton didn't leave to go cause any trouble until around 9pm! He got home around 11:30. I am hoping he was a good boy, haven't heard anything different yet.
