I had gomne to CO to surprise my little Bro that we hadn't seen in 3 years. He has a bad heart condition-hes 36-has had 2 open heart surgeries. My sis and I decided to jump on a plane and see him for a week-he never knew we were coming-his wife plotted with us and we were sitting on his couch when he walked in the door and did a triple take at us-we started cracking up and he started crying:-( He was so happy to see us and couldnt believe we did it without even a clue what happened-mad we gave his heart a jump but happy we hung all week-it was nice and peaceful there-it was in fort collins?

I have gotten 6 dozen eggs done woman! You need to get your rump up and do your xmas stuff! howd I do?

My sister used to live in the Denver area. For my 18th birthday she let a friend and I take Amtrak out to stay with her for a week. We really felt all grown up! I have also been out there a few times in HS for church youth group stuff. The last time I was there was the summer after Destiny's 6th grade year. Tonna and I took the girl scouts out there for white water rafting and sight seeing. (I don't know what we were thinking!) My hubby was born in Colorado and has yet to actually enjoy the state!

Very good! Keep on me! I need to get my stuff done, or at least started. I am actually getting excited about Christmas even though it is almost 70 here!

Hi! I made it back! It was off for a total of 5 hours this time. I called them back and explained that I had called in 4 hours ago about an outage and was wondering if she had an update for me. Oh dear I am so sorry, someone should have called you by now, we aren't expecting that back on until around 8 tonight!

Are you going to be ok? OK!?? Well just what the heck was she going to do about it if I wasn't!! I assured her I would be fine I had a kerosene heater. About 45 minutes later it came back on. So I hurried up and did a few things that had to be done, just in case it went right back off!! I sure hope not

Without power I have no water either as our water runs on an electric pump from the cistern.

Hubby was kind enough to remind me I had about 3 toilet flushes of water left in the system!

Note to self.... Don't let your battery on cell phone get dangerously low and assume you can plug it in any time, especially when you don't have a land line.
Pay attention when hubby is trying to teach you how to light the kerosene heater with out blowing yourself up.
Have back up laptop battery so you can stay on BYC while the power is out!


I am gone for a few hours and Michelle goes and gets famous!!

Six dozen NY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I worked on mine a bit while the power was out. I am just not crafty, nothing turns out the way I think it should. Its the thought that counts, right!!?? I thought I was doing a good job!

And I know what you mean about the crafty thing. I was definitely not born with natural talent for crafts! But I am not giving up. I am going to make things and people are going to smile sweetly and tell me how thoughtful I am!

Those eggs look great! I did get a few done today while the power was out. I am going to need more eggs soon but my girls havent been laying much latley. I am down to 2 eggs a day (from 14

) and they are little eggs. I refuse to buy eggs!!

I envy some of your transfers! I do have the ones with the sayings, Gingerbread man, Love, etc..... Keep up the good work! Thanks for the pics!
