    LOL
This little guy is really a leghorn/silkie cross but I think he is gorgeous! He is 6 weeks old and has started to "try" to crow already. He does not have true leghorn feathers or silkie feathering but they like a wispy type of feather, for lack of a better description.
But he ended up having a perfect silkie comb! LOL
He is ok with handling and actually is keeping a good eye on my blind pullet who is in with him.
Sorry the pics are a bit blurry. Still can't find my cord to my camera so I have to use my phone. Oh, his name is Rocky.

What a beauty! Imagine what he will look like when he matures over time!
We have Silkhorns (leghorn x Silkie mix) too! The only difference is the girls are splash, with black polka dots. [IMG] They have similar feathers as you described and they have the feathered legs of a silkie.

Thank-you! I have another one about 2 weeks old. I was surprised how pretty they turned out. Rocky has two small black spots, on each wing and a light one on his breast. I also have silkie mix chicks with brown leghorns, EE, and andalusian.

Quote:I thought I would post to tell you that you were right. He is getting to be very pretty. Here is an updated pic of him now. He just turned 3 months old today and has gotten some red feathering in his wings & crest. I think he is quite the looker and is still a good boy. He lets me carry him around where ever I want to take him.

I've been debating the LeghornXSilkie cross. But we might have to try it now that I've seen how they can turn out!
