Here is my story:
Rocky is our Easter Egger rooster. A fox jumped over the fence once to try to get a chicken, and Rocky guarded the hens and sacrificed himself for the others. The fox would have gotten away with him if my dad hadn't shot him. The fox dropped Rocky so he could make his getaway, and left him with some puncture marks above his wings.
Rocky made a full recovery and lives to this day!

This first story is currently taking place. My flockmaster for my Phoenix flock and his 2nd in command are sleeping side by side for the first time ever because out of 7 hens, 7 decided to go sit on nests

Second story

After 5 great years as flockmaster, my mixed male has stepped down and my Phoenix yearling has taken control

Waffles got sick and died. She was my favorite EE and she was orange. There is a picture of her posted on my EE thread. RIP Waffles. Who's going to boss all the other birds around without you here?

Thanks! I don't know that I really have any stories that I've never told anyone (I have a sister who takes care of the chickens with me and I tell her most stuff)

But I can try and think of something...

And I have plenty of stories if its just that I've never told anyone on BYC!
