    Hello from Southern Oregon.
Got our chicks 17days ago from a local feed store. 4 Rhode Island Reds,2 Golden Sex Links,2 Black Sex Links. And 5 Buff Orphingtons. Love my lil mixed group of girls!! Just moved them from the brooder out 2 the coop. Goldie,1 of our G.S.L's comes running 2 me when I enter the coop. Love this fun new learning experience.Never thought I would own chickens!! But here iam, loving the whole thing. Thanks 4 such a great website too.

You have some great egg layers in your mixed flock, hope you're saving up egg cartons. It's nice to hear you are enjoying them.

    Thanks for joining us!

Hi and a warm welcome to BYC. I agree that keeping chickens gets kind of addictive - thank goodness for this site, so we can all talk chicken to our heart's content!

    All the best
