Experienced pea chick parents!

I know it is a little too early to tell but just wondered if people with more experience could take a guess about this pea chick. Boy or girl…it is an India Blue.

Cock is as good of a guess as any. Heavy barring and overall orange color are good indicators.

So when it hatched, I called it a boy - We named it Harry after Harry Potter and his “sister” who also hatched we named “Hermione”. She wasn’t as strong and sadly passed after one week. Since that time, I got two speckled Sussex chicks to keep Harry company and then we felt Harry was a girl. However, after reading some of the other threads, I am starting to think Harry IS a boy. No matter either way…just fun to guess. Thanks for the replies! I will try to update once we are more confident. 😉

One thing to be aware of.... I raised my peacock with an EE female chick and they bonded very closely. When they were grown the peacock would breed the hen. A peacock is built the same way as a rooster as far as genitals so the hen wasn't hurt but he was awfully heavy to be on her. So if your SS turn out to be hens you shouldn't be surprised if you see it happening.
