I need help with a sick Copper Maran Pullet - she keeps her lower eye lid closed. I am only 2 weeks into having 4 Pullets and I fear that something is wrong and do not know what to do???

Is she having any diarrhea or blood in her stools, is she lethargic, not eating well, and standing puffed up, or other signs of coccidiosis? Corid (amprollium) from the cattle section of the feedstore would treat that. Make sure that your ventilation in the coop is excellent, that temperatures in the coop are not hot, there is minimal dust, there is no ammonia odor, and no wet areas that promote mold, since all can contribute to eye irritation and respiratory disease. If she develops nasal or eye drainage or crusting, cough, sneeze, chst rattles, or swelling around an eye or the face, then I would treat for a possible respiratory disease with antibiotics.

Sounds like I need to pull her out by herself so I can check for all that. I will go get the Rx right now!

Thank you so very much for helping me.
