EYP - meat ok?

I culled and butchered a bird with egg yolk perionitis yesterday and need to know if the meat is ok? She didn't smell of infection. She was not on antibiotics. Thanks.

I imagine it would be okay... EYP is contained within the reproductive tract and may not affect the meat.

Than again, I could be TOTALLY wrong. (It's happened before.)

I'd do a little more research before taking my word for it.

See? This is why I asked. I had no previous experience in this and nothing to compare it to.

After the responses here and describing the state of the bird's innards to a friend of mine I have discarded the bird.

Very little fat in her. The viscera was grayish-pink with cottage cheese type curds on it.

I 'm not sure if the cheese was attached to the intestines or not. I just plopped it in the bucket. I don't recall seeing any loose cheese.
