Oh, so the red is actually red? I thought it was going to be like red and buff silkies where they look pretty much the same.

This male is so dark he's almost black. Very handsome. Hopefully I hatch some girls for him.

It should rather neatly solve the problem. Once I have a dozen chicks or so I may put him over the SL pen as they aren't related to him and make Some Silver-laced split to Recessive Whites. Then I'll cross those pullets back to the Whites and have five or six bloodlines worth of birds. At least he and my hen now aren't related at all.Are the new whites going to help with your white problem? Or is it still going to take a little bit of extra breeding
