My husband and I have been thinking about getting a small flock of chickens for a few years now and the planning process is beginning!!!! We are on 2 acres and we are going to start with a few raised garden beds this spring and officially get our flock next spring after our barn is built. I was flat out told NO by my city board about chickens, rooster and rabbits but am planning on using rtfa in my favor just not sure how to go about it. I live in Michigan in the city of Zilwaukee.
