I've been trying this for years.. I got as far as my own garden, and eggs from my own chickens, but I just can't bring myself to kill any of them. Heck, I feed them and they have such cute widdle faces.. I can't kill such innocent babies...

I have no idea how I will do it when the time comes in April. Thank God for Sunny_Side_Up carol, sho'll be guiding me...

80% is exactly the percentage of food I told DH I wanted to come from our own farm! I ordered 25 meat chickens to come in this week, so that will definitely be a start, as well as expanding the garden. I've always wanted to live that way, even before it was the cool thing to do
