Hi I have 4 LF Salmon Favorelle pullet that are 4 months old...Their beards are coming in with so many black feathers....Will they always stay like that or will these girls clear to a white later? They were purchased from a hatchery.

The dark beards are very common for hatchery Salmon Faverolles. They don't usually lighten, in fact, they tend to get darker with age. It's a major fault for showing, and makes them poor breeding stock. If you just wanted them to be pets and lay eggs, then don't worry that they aren't perfect examples of the breed.

Well darn! I love the white faces but I have no plans on breeding/showing! They are just pets and here for bug control and eggs! I had a feeling that was the case :( Thanks for your response!
