    Chicks Vibrant Colors

My Black Sex Link is developing Bright Blue feather tips that glow in the sun. She sports a Brown edge around her neck. The colors are absolutely beautiful. As she gets older a week at a time its getting more pronounced.

How are the colors formed on your birds? I can’t get enough looks now. I find the Silver Laced Wyandotte’s, Golden Laced Wyandotte extremely beautiful. All the EE’s mixtures are mesmerizing. Show me you favorite bird colors and the mixed colors combination are fascinating. The Silkies with the mop heads and colors are so cool too.

Thought a fun thread to brag about your favorite Chicks.

OMG, that blue iridescence on feathers has no match in beauty in nature, does it?

I like blue/blacks and laced colors too. I am a little disappointed with the lavender color. It is beautiful, but really more silvery gray to me than purplish. I guess purple chickens would be "it" for me [IMG]

I like very colorful. I like several different colors on the same chicken instead of just a white chicken or a buff chicken.

One thing I just can't stand is a flock of chickens where every single chicken is the exact same color, ie: rhode island reds, white rocks, barred rocks. They're all the same color. There aren't any variations within their breeds.

I like having a lot of shades of chickens, especially a mixture with black and brown and buff and white. I'm not fond of the blues for some reason (and I know a lot of people do like them). I don't know why; I like blue roan and steel gray in a horse, just not in a chicken!

My EE right now is looking to turn out very pretty -- I need to get pics up -- she's butterscotch in the front and chocolate in the back [IMG]
