Pros: friendly, docile, easy to handle, lays large eggs, does well confined
Egg Production: fair
Broodiness: yes
Foraging: poor
Alertness: yes
Tamenss: can become very tame and docile

Breed: Icelandics
Pros: Many colors and comb types, interesting crests, you can have multiple roosters without much fighting
Cons: Not cuddly (some are friendly though), smaller bodies mean less meat
Egg Production: Moderate over many years, good in winter
Broodiness: Moderate--better than modern breeds, less than silkies/cochins/games
Foraging: Excellent. Even prefers eating snow in winter to using provided water.
Alertness: Very.
Tamenss: Varies by individual. Some are friendly, others are fairly wild.

Breed: Easter Eggers
Pros: Blue Eggs, Hardy, Nice
Cons: Because this is a mutt not a breed the traits can vary.
Egg Production: Good to Amazing in my experience they lay 4 to 5 eggs a week.
Broodiness: Varies, their are cases of broody EE it really depend upon the bird
Foraging: Amazing
Alertness: good I have never had a EE predated upon.
Tameness: Depend upon bird but if they were handled often as chicks they are very nice.
Photos: Sorry about the quality
