My favorite duck has gone broody. About two weeks ago she finally got sick of me taking her eggs and wondered off into the woods to make her nest. I finally found her under a brush pile. I want to move her and her nest back to the duck Pen and keep her cooped for a spell. Does anyone here think she will sit her eggs if I move her and the nest.

Yes, I would definitely move her. She isn't safe out in the woods with no shelter. I would take her and her eggs back to where they belong, and get a cage to pen her up in so she has to sit on her eggs. I would at first, though, give her the option of voluntarily sitting on her eggs in the area of the other ducks.

It's a gamble but if your don't your likely to loose her and forget the clutch it'll be gone too.. either to predators or die because your incubator has.

good luck! hope it works out.
