    Hey all,

I just put my favorite girl, Betsy, out in the coop for the night. She is about 8 weeks RIR/Americauna mix. She is just pacing up and down the run and calling out to me. Will she be okay???

Yes, she will be... but why is there only one chicken? You need to get her a couple of buddies! No wonder she's calling out! She's LONELY.

She has 2 11 week old White Leghorns and a laying Americauna with her, although they have been in the coop since we brought them home. But, she had to leave her buddies in the brooder who are still too young. I just went out and she came running into my arms, so I held her for a bit and placed her in the nesting box. She seemed to calm down a bit. Hopefully she will stay in there and go to sleep.

Oh Ma, she will be fine... Just to make sure... sing her a lullaby WHEN (not if) you go check on her. This is harder on you [IMG] than on her. Nighty night
