I'm planning on getting some guineas here soon, so I was wondering what types of guinea you guys like the best and why? Thanks!

I have never owned guineas before, but personally I like lavender guineas due to their beautiful coloration.

Are you asking about the available colors or species? Most guinea owners I know have what is known as the Helmeted species - what people think of as the domesticated variety. Within this species are many color choices and then there is a size difference between the regular domestics and the French Jumbos, which were developed as a French meat bird are about 1/3 larger than the regular domestics.

The lavenders are a pretty color. Most photos you see are of the Pearls - grayish, black with polka dots. Here is a reference for other colors.
