Maybe this has been done before, but I thought I would try to start a poll about favourite foods (of chickens). If I get enough responses I'll add up the votes for each food type and produce something like a top ten, with numbers of votes for each. My hens have cast two votes:
Our first hen, a wee white cutie called Leia, was a very food-oriented bird and would happily accept almost anything you offered her, but went WILD for red berries. If she spotted us picking wild strawberries she would actually start to panic at the thought that they might not be intended for her. In retrospect, this may have been because we didn't often let her out from her pen (the garden wasn't chicken-proof at the time), so she didn't get enough fresh plant material in her diet.
Our current flock, which is 10 birds strong of lots of different breeds and ages (up to 16 weeks) doesn't care so much about berries, reserving its strongest passion for cheese. Crouching down among them while holding a small lump of cheese elicits a feeding frenzy response reminiscent of shark documentaries. It is invariably very funny, but can be slightly scary too.
Anyone else?
