It has been brought to my attention on another thread of mine that my rooster probably has favus. I got blue-kote because I thought the hens were pecking on it and creating the scab, but then people said it may be favus. Blue-kote is labeled as an anti-germ and anti-fungal, so I'm wondering if it would treat favus? I've read that favus refers to ringworm in chickens, but also that it is a fungus, so wouldn't it treat that?
I'm kind of panicking because the more I read about it the more worried I get that it will get worse and spread my hens. So far it isn't bad. He has a scab and some white stuff on him. No swelling at all and he seems okay...for now... I can get pictures if needed.
Help!
