I decided I wanted to rescue chickens a year or two ago (2012-2013). My first rescue, Bonnie, would of died if I didn't save her. Her owner have her to me after she was repeatedly attacked by her rooster. Bonnie has almost no feathers, a clipped beak, severe scaly leg mites, lice and frostbite.

I also rescued a silkie from abandonment. She was eggbound and would of died without treatment.

I also rescued multiple other chickens from various locations.

I am trying to rescue battery hens but MI has banned battery cages from what I heard.

I will keep everyone posted :)
