I have one chick that looked like all the rest until about 3 days ago and s/he started getting lotts of feathers. I'm 90% sure its some kind of Production Red. They are about 2 1/2 weeks old now.

    At 4 days
    George (the chick in question)

So are you saying he is feathering out faster or slower?

These are what pretty much all my birds looked like at about 10 days old.

I'm saying that one chick looked like the others. (George) and now, at 2 1/2 weeks he has a ton more feathers than the other 2 chicks like him.

Quote:I have 8 Barred Rocks and 7 Welsummers I think and none of them have the exact amount of feathers. But I am guessing my gamebird feed is working like steroids because everywhere I look, my 2 week old chicks look look Godzilla compared to other peoples' chicks. [IMG]
